My husband and myself got married in Grand Hotel Treemezzo Palace on May 10th, and was really great! We had a civil ceremony at Mezzegra Town Hall and then moved to the Grand Hotel Treemezzo for the party, that was held in the terrace.Everything was perfect: the organization, the service, the meal, the cake. We also stayed there for 2 days in the Suite and was amazing. All the staff is kind and helpful and even our room was fantastic. Unforgettable!

Went here for 1 week's honeymoon; what a lovely place! Set in a large historic villa, with amazing aspects of the lake.We were half board, which i throughly reccomend and booked with crystal lakes and mountains.Would say we were the youngest on our coach by around 20 years! but there was a mix of young, old and well off families at the hotel. Would recomend flying to Milan rather than Verona, as we did, it was a little cheeper to fly to Verona, but the 3 hour coach transfer was really boring.Hotel food was really something- up market but just really tasty versions of italian classics and meat and veg dishes- puddings were to die for! breakfast was also lovely. and all meals were served on the terrace; which had a roof but open/glass walls so you could see all across the lake - very romantic. The boat trips were really easy to get the hang of - we got a timetable from reception, and there were lots of little towns to visit. Would reccomend bellagio and Varena, Como was quite big and a bit of a journey down the lake. Villa carlotta is a must - some packages offer free ticket to here as its next door to the hotel.

The outstanding service at the Grand Tremezzo began far before I arrived in Lake Como when I was planning my proposal to my girlfriend. Davide, the concierge, COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL in setting up a surprise private dinner on the terrace of the Royal Suite. Every detail was perfect. Upon arrival, every employee knew my name and gave my girlfriend and I the most kind greeting I've ever gotten at a hotel. We were escorted to our room where a bottle of Champaign awaited us. This service did not deviate at all for the three days we were there, and the staff was truly happy to help in any way possible.
The floating pool was very neat, but a little too cold to enjoy in mid June. Instead, we enjoyed the pool in the back of the hotel which boasts a wonderful pizza bar and a great hiking path. Dinner at the hotel was reasonably priced and delicious. Again, the service was truly amazing.
The location of the Grand Tremezzo is great - a five minute boat ride from Bellagio, and 45 minutes or so to Cernobbio (Villa d'Este). We went to Villa d'Este and felt a bit uncomfortable, a bunch of 50 and 60 year old couples wearing navy blazers for lunch outside at 2pm. We were glad we chose the Tremezzo instead, especially given the price differential. The view from our room/terrace (200sq ft) was breathtaking.
If I had to mention one thing that wasn't ideal, the front of the hotel is located on a main road and you need to walk across the street to get to the floating pool. Not a big deal, but you could hear cars and motorcycles passing by during the day. However, in the back of the hotel there was complete silence.
Can't wait to go back for an anniversary!Source: Tripadvisor

This is a truly magnificant hotel set on the shores of Lake Como looking towards Bellagio. The hotel staff are excellent and friendly from the moment you arrive until you leave.Rooms are well appointed and for a bit extra..too much actually.. you get a lake facing room. you can see the lake as much as you want from the dining room and pool area. The food in the hotel was 5 star throughout our stay with service at the top end of the scale. The lake pool is a fantastic experience whilst the large outdoor pool at the rear of the hotel is quieter and great to relax in.Indoor pool and Spa are excellent.Any down sides..drink prices in the hotel are high however i suppose it is high quality surroundings!!Will be back sometime

Amazing Lake Como hotel!

I just returned from my wedding in Lake Como, Italy. I expected a storybook wedding and Lake Como delivered on all accounts. We choose to stay at Grand Hotel Tremezzo and left fully satisfied. The Hotel Manager Elena could not have been more helpful and hospitable. She literally checked on us each and every day. No request was out of the question! This hotel was built in 1909-1910 and so one must expect a grand building of its time. Please do not book this hotel expecting slick, new modern styling. As an American, sometimes we can expect luxuries that are simply not found in other countries. We were not disappointed here to say the least. The room was overlooking the lake, with high ceilings and nice decor.
The bathroom was larger than expected (larger than my own at home) with a slick new modern shower. The room had air conditioning which was a surprise, given that one is warned that in Italy, AC is not always available. The room was a typical size of about 10 feet wide by 18-20 feet long with a simple floor plan. However, there are larger rooms and suites available for booking if needed. Here is an outline of the pros and cons from my opinions:
Pros:1. Staff could NOT have been more helpful. They catered to our EVERY need. ALL staff smiled and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and that made their work and interaction with us more enjoyable. In the end, we took their names and photos with them for our memories.
2. Elena, the General Manager was amazing! We are certain she does not know any other faicial expressions except smiles!
3. Gardens and floral of the hotel grounds were simple stunning. We took tons of photos. We loved the vine covered walls too.
4. Rooms were good, bathrooms were good.
5. Parking was seemingly non-existent, but that was a ZERO issue because the hotel staff waits on you hand and foot, so your car is always available in an instant. I have no idea where they park it, but who cares when all you have to do is ask for it and it appears?
6. Three swimming pools, very nice! Each pool has a different setting, so this should please even the most modest person. The "water on water" floating swimming pool in the lake was very nice and the attached beach club/deck with food services was very convenient.
7. The hotel changed our room 2-3 times PER DAY with new towels, cleaned the room, put away our clothes...how much more could they have possibly done?
8. Three restaurants, ALL very good. Expensive, but very good. Restaurant staff were very very good with NO complaints.
9. Almost all staff spoken very good English. I speak some Italian, but they made me at home so I spoke very little during my trip.
10. The "T-Spa" was wonderful with a high design, chic architecture, heated pool, water therapy massage, jacuzzi and American style full body massage, which I purchased. Nice!

We stayed at this hotel for one week starting the 18th June 2008. We had a lake facing room, with balcony on the top floor. The floors are wood and I would think there would be noise from above if on a lower floor. The room itself was fine, lovely big bed. The restaurant was excellent, we have no complaints whatsoever about the meals or service. The pool areas are fine. The walk up through the gardens at the rear could do with the path tidying up a bit, but the view when you get up there is lovely----just a pity there isn't a bench to sit on and admire it.All the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

Great hotel with wonderful view. Stayed 2 nights and had a lake front room. Small rooms and bathrooms, especially, shower, but the view, comfy bed, towel warmer, wonderful breakfast and other amenities made up for it.
